A number of questions arise. Can you get spare parts? Can you get someone to repair it? What will the cut quality be like?
Yes these machines are cheap, but are probably the worst investment of your money.

This may seem like a decent option, after all, it’s a brand new shiny machine, and the salesman says it will cut 25mm plate, so what can go wrong?
Well, many things unfortunately. The main thing to realise is the new plasma cutter is cheap for a reason. The table is of poor construction, the hardware is very low quality and will wear out quickly.
Before you know it, the round holes you could cut in the first few weeks of production now resemble a 50p piece. Then, as much as you beg, shout or threaten legal action, you cannot get anyone to come out and fix it.
And what the salesman should have answered is, ‘yes it will cut 25mm plate for the first two cuts, and then the cut angle will be so bad you need to change the consumables.’ And you will have ruined a very expensive sheet of plate.
Another poor investment of your hard earned cash.
