MG Plasma Table with Rotary Bevel and Combined Drilling, Tapping & Routing
Our newly installed MG Plasma Cutter is not an ordinary machine, its rotary bevel plasma combined with drilling, tapping and routing capabilities, enable it to produce parts most companies would need several machines to complete.
When Barnsley based Glass Recycling UK asked us to supply them a new plasma cutter, we immediately thought about a standard machine but after our first meeting, it became apparent that they needed more than just a plasma cutter, they needed a machine that could make replacement parts for their glass screening plant which due to the extremely abrasive nature of broken glass, wear out very frequently and usually at the most inconvenient time.
So now, rather than waiting several weeks for new parts to arrive, Glass Recycling’s engineering team can produce them at a moments notice, greatly reducing expensive down time and their boss’s blood pressure.

Rotary bevel plasma
With a large percentage of CNC manufactured parts requiring some sort of bevelled edge, Glass Recycling UK equipped their MG Plasma Cutter with the MicroStep 5-axis rotary bevel cutting head. Not only giving greater precision, the rotary bevel head allows parts to be manufactured ready for use, requiring very little post cut work. Greatly saving both time and money.
Powered by the Hypertherm XPR300, and the amazing flexibility of the Microstep Plasma rotator and bevel head, we are excited to see what this new MG Plasma Cutting table is capable of.

Drilling Station
The Machine features a dedicated Drilling and Tapping Station allowing even greater production and automation when manufacturing parts. Saving time and man power, the multifunctional MG table features automatic tool change creating smooth effortless production pipelines of even the most complicated of parts.

Fast and precise bevel cutting with plasma and oxyfuel with additional beveling process for parts with thicknesses so big that direct beveling is not possible. 3D pipe & profile processing up to 1000m dia. and dome processing up to 6000mm dia. Fully automatic drilling up to 40mm dia. and tapping up to M33.
