CNC Plasma Cutting Machine Installation
Following an installation of a MasterCut CNC plasma cutting machine at Abraservice UK, the initial test cuts were very succussful and it has gone on to be a great success for both parties.
Abraservice, a leading manufacturer of Hardox wear parts, make a part from 30mm plate that required a lot of after work to make the holes parallel enough to allow their customer to install pivot shafts into the holes.
On our very first test cut of this part, the new MasterCut machine fitted with Hypertherm XPR 300 plasma system cut the part so well that the holes require no cleaning, and the outside edge was virtually dross free.
With their MasterCut, in combination with the Hypertherm XPR 300 and MicroStep’s unique smart Z axis movement, Abraservice are expecting to have many more parts per hour than was previously possible with their old machine.

Abraservice, a specialist supplier of wear parts, have seen a huge reduction in the process time for a part that required a lot of after working to make it acceptable for their customers’ requirements.
The parts cut on their new MasterCut machine which uses the Hypertherm XPR 300 plasma cutting system to cut parallel holes and a dross free edge now require a quick dressing rather than hours of after working.
To increase the savings even further, the machine utilises MicroSteps’ smart Z movement (SZM) software to dramatically reduce the process cut time.

MicroStep’s unique smart Z axis movement allows a greater degree of control over deep cutting while greatly increasing cutting speed.
